Hey everyone!

I realize that it has been nearly two months since my last blog post and I wanted to share an update.  You may or may not know, that in addition to my Stampin' Up! business, I also work full time as a school counselor at one of my local elementary schools.  It is a very demanding job, and although we are currently on summer break, when school is in session, it doesn't leave a whole lot brain space in the evenings.  I was, quite frankly, finding it to be too challenging to keep up with all the different social media platforms.  

I was finding that my Facebook page seemed to be getting more interactions than my blog posts, so I have decided to concentrate my efforts on just the Facebook page.  You can follow me on Facebook by going to my page here. Alternatively, you can sign up for my email newsletter by filling in the sign up box on the middle right-hand side of the blog.  I send emails on the first and the fifteenth of each month with sales updates, my classes and usually a sample.

Framed Florets Birthday Card

Materials:
    Stamps: Framed Florets
    Ink: Bermuda Bay and Memento Black
    Card Stock:
        Pool Party - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2"

        Basic White - 5 1/4" x 3 1/2"
    Accessories: Bermuda Bay Light and Dark Blends, Calypso Coral Light and Dark Blends, Pool Party Light and Dark Blends, Old Olive Light and Dark Blends and Iridescent Pearls

 

 

Today is the last day to order from the current annual catalog as well as the January-April catalog.  This card was created using the Framed Florets stamp set which was featured in the January-April catalog.  This set is is one of the sets that is retiring, although all of the colors, as it happens, are not.  One of my favorite features of this stamp set is the lovely font on this sentiment.  

 

Finally, when you place an order on my website of at least $30 in the month of May using hostess code ZTUKNYM2  I will send you a card kit containing the supplies to make these four cards that we created at my last card class.  I will also email you copies of the samples along with supply lists.

We have a new catalog coming next week, and I thought I would share a sneak peek design with you.  I made this card over the weekend for my nine year old nephew's birthday.  It is chock full of new products, including new colors, new papers, new stamps, new dies and new ribbon.  The Zany Zoo bundle is a fun bundle that will help you create cards for a birthday or even just as a pick me up.  Either way, I'm sure you are going to want to add this one to your collection!  That said, don't forget there is still another week to order any retiring products before they are gone for good.  Retired products sunset on May 1 and the new annual catalog begins on May 2.

I don't think Ive had a chance to share this card that I created using the Seaside Bay bundle and coordinating By the Bay DSP.  It was one of the first cards I made using these products and I think it is a perfect sympathy card.  The seaside theme along with the calming colors are perfect for conveying your thoughts to someone without being overpowering.  While the Seaside Bay bundle is carrying over into the new annual catalog, the By the Bay Designer Series Paper is not and I guarantee that you are going to want this beautiful paper in you collection.  I just checked our inventory list, and it is still available and it is actually even discounted.  Make sure you order it now before it is gone for good!
