With the Paper Party promotion, I knew that I wanted to create cards with the background paper this month. Here is a card that we did at my recent stamp club:
Materials: Fun and Fast Notes, Rough Texture Jumbo Wheel and handle
Cardstock: Purely Pomegranate, Blue Bayou, Whisper White, Old Olive DSP
Ink: Basic Gray, Purely Pomegranate, Blue Bayou, Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Summer Sun
Accessories: Gold Cord, Blender Pens
Normally I would do my watercoloring with my Aquapainters, but this time I decided that I the Blender pens would be the better tool. The aquapainters are fantastic when you want a nice watercolored look. There is more moisture that is applied to the paper and therefore, the colors blend better. The blender pens are more like a clear, wet marker, and the color is much more focused. Because I wanted the color on my tree to be fairly precise, the blender pens were the tool for the job.
Let me know what you think!
Happy Stamping,
Michelle
