I am excited to unveil a new feature for my blog. Once or twice a month, I plan to feature a card sketch. These sketches are to help you see how you can look at a sample and look beyond the stamps at the actual design layout. By using these sketches to design your cards, you can save yourself some time, which will hopefully make your stamping time even more enjoyable!
Here is the first sketch:
The card itself is, of course, a half sheet of cardstock. Here are the dimensions for the other pieces:
Going Gray: 2" x 3 3/4" with a piece of ribbon wrapped around it
Basic Black: 4 1/4" x 2 1/2"
Whisper White: 4" x 2 1/4"
Here is how I used this sketch to design a card:
Materials: All in the Family, Punch Pals, Holidays and Wishes
Cardstock: Garden Green, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, and Rose Red Double Sided Designer Series Paper
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Pure Color Pencils, Chocolate Taffeta ribbon
This sample takes advantage of the Paper Party promotion, and when you purchase the All in the Family stamp set, all of the proceeds from the sales of the set will be donated to the Dave Abbott Family Fund.
Show me what you can do with this sketch! Email me a picture or send me a sample of your card. I'd love to share some of those samples and feature them on my blog!
Happy Stamping!
Michelle
