Halloween Scrapbook pages

Last week I had my October scrapbooking club, and I received rave reviews on the pages that we did.  I thought you all would like to see them!

Materials: Autumn Harvest
Cardstock: Pumpkin Pie and Whisper White 12x12 cardstock; Kiwi Kiss, Tangerine Tango, Basic Black and Whisper White cardstock
Ink: Basic Brown, Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, Close to Cocoa
Accessories: Big Shot and Naturally Serif Alphabet Die, 1 3/8" circle punch, 1 1/4" circle punch, Scallop Circle punch, 1/2" circle punch, 1/4" circle punch, Photo Corners punch, Aquapainters and Stampin' Dimensionals

That little spider was definitely the hit of the night!  He is created using a Scallop circle punch for his body and the Photo Corner punch for his legs.  Then smaller circle punches were used for his eyes.  Too cute!

Advent Calendar Class

I am pleased to announce a new class that I will be offering in November.  It is to create this beautiful Advent Calendar.

This is a class that I've been talking about since I returned from convention.  I finally worked my sample up, and I'm ready to share the details!

I will be offering two different sessions for this class so that hopefully it will work into most schedules.   The first session will be on Saturday, November 22 at 9:30am and the second session will be Monday, November 24 at 6:30pm.  The class fee is $55 and must be prepaid by Monday, November 10.  The class fee is transferrable, but it is non-refundable as will have to order and prepare materials after that date.

This calendar uses our new Decor Elements, and I really had a lot of fun preparing this sample!  I'm so excited to use other Decor Elements pieces in other areas of my home!  The little boxes on this calendar are a perfect fit for the Hershey Nuggets, but you could put some stickers, small erasers, or even small jewelry in these boxes.

I am excited to offer this class, and I hope you can come!

Two for One!

Sorry about the radio silence last week!  I got called in for Jury Duty which took up a couple of days, and the between the holiday and other events on my calendar, my blog ending up sitting last place!

To show my sincerest apologies and to help sooth ruffled feathers (!) I give you two samples today!

Materials: Bella's Bloom
Cardstock: Riding Hood Red, Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla cardstock; Bella Rose DSP
Ink: Riding Hood Red pad and Always Artichoke marker
Accessories: Riding Hood Red striped ribbon, Large Oval punch, Wide Oval punch, Stampin' dimensionals, Blender Pen

On this card we inked the flower in Riding Hood red.  Then we removed the red ink from the stem and leaves, and added it back in with the Always Artichoke marker before stamping it on the vanilla cardstock.

Materials: Happiness Always, Wow Flowers
Cardstock: Kiwi Kiss, Riding Hood Red, Very Vanilla cardstock
Ink: Kiwi Kiss, Riding Hood Red and Pink Pirhouette
Accessories: Horizontal Slot punch, Pretty in Pink grosgrain ribbon, Round Tab punch, gold brads

For this card, I cut my cardstock in half the long way.  After I folded the card in half, I folded back the right edge on the front, punched it, and tied the ribbon on to make it interesting.

These were both cards that we made at my tote card class this past summer.

Autumn Harvest Card

The air may be nice and warm these last few days, but if we look around, fall is definitely here!  Aren't the colors just beautiful!  This is a card that I had as one of my make and takes last month.  It uses the Autumn Harvest set.  I just love the fall images in the set, and, as an added bonus, you can take the face and quickly turn your pumpkin into a jack 'o lantern!

Materials: Autumn Harvest
Cardstock: Tangerine Tango, Always Artichoke, and Confetti Cream cardstock
Ink: Basic Brown, Always Artichoke, Pumpkin Pie, Tangerine Tango
Accessories: Horizontal Slot Punch, Pumpkin Pie grosgrain ribbon, Always Artichoke grosgrain ribbon, Vintage brads, 1/16" circle punch, aquapainters, Stampin' Dimensionals

I've watercolored my pumpkins in this card using my aquapainters and the ink off the lids.  This is probably my favorite way to watercolor since I'm using the same color inks as my cardstock....I get cranky if I can't match things well!

I added ribbon to the top corner by tying it through where I punched with the horizontal punch.

This is a really easy set to watercolor since the images are large and open.  There aren't a lot of details that you need to try to color.  Give it a try and let me know what you think!

Upsy Daisy Birthday

My mother-in-law's birthday was a week ago, and, of course, I needed to make a great card for her to show her how great she is!  I was quite happy with how it came out, although I can't claim total credit for the design layout.  Would you like to see it?

Materials: Upsy Daisy
Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Tangerine Tango, and Riding Hood Red
Ink: Summer Sun, Tangerine Tango and Riding Hood Red
Accessories: Big Shot and Top Note Die, Riding Hood Red Striped Ribbon, Sponge Daubers and Stampin' Dimensionals

The focal point on this card was done using the Top Note Die in my Big Shot machine (love that thing!).  I cut out two separate Top Notes, and I trimmed the border off the vanilla one so I could layer it on top of the red one.  I inked the stamp in Summer Sun and then I used sponge daubers to add Tangerine Tango and Riding Hood Red ink on the flowers for a dimensional look.

This is a very simple but effective layout.  Give it a try, and I'd love to see what you come up with!
