Last week I held my final Big Shot class in the series of four. We played around with cutting tin. Would you like to see what we made?
Materials: Love you Much
Cardstock: Pink Pirouette, Whisper White, Riding Hood Red DSP
Ink: Riding Hood Red pad and Versamark Pad
Accessories: Clear Embossing Powder, Cropadile, Scallop Circle Punch, 1 3/4" Circle Punch, Word Window Punch, Riding Hood Red Striped Ribbon, Lightweight Cardboard, Soda Can
It's a small album! Here's a picture of the inside:
So, as I mentioned, we started with a clean, empty soda can. I took my Craft and Rubber Scissors and cut from the opening of the can, down, and I cut off the top of the can, right at the crease. Then I cut down the side of the can and cut off the bottom of the can at the crease. You now have a rectangular piece of tin. I embossed my desired image all over what was the inside of the can (carefully...it gets hot!). Then I attached the tin to a piece of cardboard (about cereal box weight) and on the backside of the cardboard I attached a piece of Designer Series Paper. Then I ran the whole thing through my Big Shot! I made three more pages, but this time I put Designer Series Paper on both sides of the cardboard, and I ran those through the Big Shot as well. Then I stacked them all up and punched two holes in the side with the cropadile for the ribbon. Make sure that you don't tie the ribbon too tightly or you won't be able to open the album.
Then, you just embellish the front as desired!
Don't forget, that there is less than a week to order any of the stamp sets that are retiring. Our new catalog will be here soon! According to my sources, my catalogs should be here tomorrow, and I'll be eagerly watching for the UPS truck! Maybe I should make him some cookies!
Happy Stamping!
Michelle
PS...I'm getting ready to send out a survey today about my classes. If you fill out the survey by next Friday, you will be entered in a drawing for a free stamp set. If you haven't taken the survey yet, you can take it here.
