Hi everyone!
I'm sorry that I was unable to get anything posted last week, and, unfortunately, I am dashing in really quickly before we head on a family vacation next week. I had a wonderful time in Phoenix for our Leadership conference. There were some great ideas for me, both on projects and ways to tweak my business as well. While I was away, my sister-in-law, expecting her first baby, was induced. I followed her progress all the way home, but my niece took her sweet time. I went to see her Sunday (1/10) after I had got home and ended up staying with her for pretty much the next three days. Amelia Elizabeth finally made her debut January 12 at 7:14pm! Needless to say, it took me nearly the whole rest of the week to feel like I got myself on track!
But, here now, for your viewing pleasure is a card I made this past weekend. My cousin is also expecting her first child and we had a baby shower for her last Sunday. I really don't have a whole lot of options for baby stamps, so, as I laid awake Friday night, I designed this card in my head!
Materials: I {heart} Hearts, Short and Sweet
Cardstock: More Mustard, Crushed Curry and Very Vanilla
Ink: Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, and Real Red
Accessories: Real Red 5/8" grosgrain, Designer label punch, 1/16" circle punch, vintage brads, Perfect Polka Dots Texture Folder and Big Shot
My cousin has a theme of Winnie the Pooh, so I decided to start by bringing those colors into the card. It is a fairly basic design, and I seriously did pretty much design it in my head while laying awake one night!
Finally, I'm sure that you all have been just as touched by the devastation in Haiti as everyone else. Stampin' Up is truly a company that embraces our Statement of the Heart to "help others". From now until February 28, Stampin' Up will donate $2 from the sale of the "I {heart} Hearts" set to the Red Cross' Haiti Relief and Development fund. You can purchase this stamp set by going to my website here
Happy Stamping!
Michelle
