Last day of the Catalog

Eeep!  I just realized that I've been rather delinquent!  Anyway, I wanted to remind you that today is the last day to order from the current catalog.  Here's a sample from a set and some colors that are retiring:

 Stamps: Owl Together Now

Cardstock: Brilliant blue, Garden Green, More Mustard and Confetti White

Ink: Basic Brown, Brilliant Blue, More Mustard, Real Red, Creamy Caramel, Garden Green, Close to Cocoa

Accessories: Aquapainter, Real Red grosgrain

This owl set is fun one for kids cards and the variety of sentiments and images mean that you can use it for many different occasions.  But, today is the last day that you can order this little guy!

I still have openings in my calendar for this summer if you'd like to host a workshop with the new catalog.  I am offering a free stamp set from my stash to the first eight people who book workshop in either July or August.

Teacher Gifts

My kids got out of school on Tuesday, so last weekend, I sat down to create a few teacher gifts.  I really try to avoid giving our teachers more knick knacks, because I'm sure they have plenty!  I usually go for a personal consumable item, such as Bath and Body works or a Dunkin Donuts gift certificate.  The end of the year rather sneaked up on me, and I was sick in bed for four days last week with strep, so DD gift cards it was!

Somebody posted a really cute gift card holder on a demonstrator list that I belong to recently and I saved the post so I could recreate them.  Here is how they came out:

I used Mellow Moss cardstock and paper from the Cottage Rose DSP.  The stamp comes from Tart and Tangy.  I realized after I had given them that I neglected to take a picture of the inside of one :(  Sorry!  Let me try to describe them.  You slide the belly band off and open them, and there is a folded piece of DSP on the inside with a pocket on each side.  On one side I inserted the gift card and on the other I had the kids write a personal note to their teacher.
