Christmas in First Grade

Today I had the pleasure of going in to Elijah's first grade class and we stamped Christmas cards!  I was approached by Elijah's teacher several weeks ago and asked if I would like to participate in this project.  Of course I said yes!  I designed a couple of cards last week and showed them to his teacher and we choose two that we liked.  She sent some card stock home with Elijah and I got the projects all cut and ready to go.  Would you like to see what they did?

The kids had so much fun, and so did we!  We each took four or five kids and worked with them on a card and then they rotated between us and independent reading.  You should have seen the inky hands when were through!

Stayed tuned, because Valentine's Day is on the horizon and I've got it on good authority that I may be asked back!

Hostess Appreciation Event Post 2

Yesterday I shared with you the general ambience of my Hostess Appreciation Event.  Today, I want to share with you the great projects we created!

First up, this adorable tote:

It is created with background paper and other supplies from the new Occasions Mini catalog.  The tote is super easy to make and really cute to give!  Once we made the tote, they did four cards to go inside:

All four of these cards also use supplies from the upcoming mini catalog as well as from the Sale-a-bration brochure.

Finally, they were able to make this fun gift card holder:

We had a really great morning, and you will definitely want to book a workshop for next year so you can be included in this event.  I still have dates available for sale-a-bration, so be sure to contact me so we can get your workshop on my calendar.

Hostess Appreciation Event Post 1

This past Saturday, I held the first of what I plan to be my annual Hostess Appreciation Event.  This event is open to all hostesses for the past year, including stamp club members.  If you weren't there, I want to show you a little of what you missed!  Today I'm going to share pictures of some of the prizes and other goodies I had for everybody.  Tomorrow I'll share pictures of the projects we made.

As everybody arrived, they found their seat which held a packet of all the supplies for the projects as well as a little favor:

Inside each of those was a Ghirardelli chocolate! Yum!

We did the first project together, and then we stopped for door prizes.  When a name was called, that person would come choose from a basket of little gift boxes:

Each little box held a slip of paper that revealed their special prize:

Here is a picture of the prize table before the prizes were gone.  I had samples down on one end for inspiration and the new Occasions Mini Catalog for people to flip through:

 

In between stamping and visiting, there were lots of goodies for eating! We had a great time and everybody agreed that it was an event not to be missed.  To that end, several people took the opportunity to book a workshop for the new year and ensure that they would be invited back next year.  After they booked there workshop, they got to take one of these home with them:

These fun little boxes held an assortment of goodies from the Occasions Mini catalog that is released on January 5.
