Yesterday, we celebrated the first birthday of my niece. As many of you know, last year, I began the process of becoming a birth doula (my website is here), and it was my attendance at Amelia's birth that put me on that path. I knew I needed to create a special birthday card, and I was quite pleased with how it turned out.
Materials: Fox and Friends and Create a Cupcake
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Blushing Bride, Early Espresso and Whisper White
Ink: Blushing Bride and Crumb Cake
Accessories: Big Shot, Scalloped Square Die and Polka Dot Embossing folder; Owl punch, Paper Piercing tool and mat, Blushing Bride ribbon, Linen thread, Basic pearls, Scalloped Oval punch, 1 3/4" x 7/8" oval punch, Stamping sponge and Stampin' Dimensionals
Isn't it just darling? I have to admit that I had a sample that I took the basic sketch from, but I loved the result! I particularly like the little monkey in the background. My niece is a bit of monkey herself who can't sit still! The owl punch adds a fun bit of interest. I'll definitely have to pull Mr. Owl out some more and play with him.
I've almost got my samples finished for my next stamp a stack class, so stay tuned for those details. If you want to put it on your calendar, it'll be held on Friday, February 4.
Happy Stamping!
Michelle
