Probably one of the least favorite cards to make is sympathy cards. However, there probably isn't any greater expression of love then sending a sympathy card. I found myself in need of one of these cards last week. My current favorite set is the new Gently Falling leaf set from the Holiday Mini catalog. I thought it would make a fantastic sympathy card:
Materials: Gently Falling, Sympathy words from a retired set
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Baja Breeze, Pear Pizzazz and Very Vanilla
Ink: Basic Grey, Baja Breeze, Pear Pizzazz and Crumb Cake
Accessories: Aquapainters and Stampin' Dimensionals
For some reason, I always gravitate to the soft blue, green and brown combo when creating a sympathy card. Before the color changes it was Bordering Blue and now Baja Breeze has become my go to color. It is a very simple card, with some basic watercoloring, but I thought it very effectively captured the feeling I wanted.
Gently Falling is only available through January 3. To purchase this or any other supplies, click on the Shop now link on the left and then on the upper right when you get to my web page.
Happy Stamping!
