I know we really can't complain about the weather we have had this winter, but I can't help but look forward to when the weather turns warmer in earnest. This is a card that helps me feel like spring really is right around the corner!
Stamps: Fresh Vintage and Teeny Tiny Wishes
Card stock: Calypso Coral, Pool Party and Whisper White
Ink: Calypso Coral, Lukcy Limeade and Pool Party markers
Accessories: Labels Framelits and Bit Shot, Word Window Punch, Modern Label Punch, Lucky Limeade ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals
I am having a lot of fun with the new Framelits. If you haven't tried them, you really need to book a workshop so you can see them in action. Make sure to tell me that that is what you want to see! Anyway...I'm sure you can see that I cut the focal point shape with the framelits, but I used them in another way too. Can you see the subtle indentation just inside the focal shape? The scan didn't pick it up real well, but it is there. I used the next size down framelit to do that.
To use the framelits normally, here is the sandwiching that you need from the bottom up: Multipurpose Platform on Tab 2 (all the way closed), Cutting plate, Cardstock, Framelit (cutting side down), Cutting Plate. In order to get the debossing effect, you need to replace the bottom cutting plate with two of the Texturz Silicone Rubber. Additionally, and this is very, very important, make sure that you flip the Framelit so it is cutting side UP. If you don't flip the Framelit, you will cut through both your paper and the Silicone Rubber, and you'll need to replace the Silicone Rubber. So, the new sandwiching order would be: Multipurpose Platform on Tab 2, Silicone Rubber, Silicone Rubber, Cardstock, Framelit (cut side UP), and Clear Cutting Plate.
Give it a try and let me know what you think!
Happy Stamping!
