Spring Scrapbook pages

I thought today I would share the pages we made this week in my Scrapbook club group.  I took the inspiration directly from the Stampin' Success magazine that Stampin' Up sends it's demonstrators.

Materials: Creative Elements, Tiny Tags

Cardstock: Rich Razzleberry, Baja Breeze, Pear Pizzazz, Daffodil Delight and Confettie Cream

Ink: Pear Pizzazz and Rich Razzleberry pads; Baja Breeze, Daffodil Delight and Rich Razzleberry markers

Accessories: 1 1/4 square punch, Beautiful Wings Embosslit, Peek a boo Frames die, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder,  Wisteria Wonder twine, 

Aren't they fun spring pages?  We were brainstorming the types of pictures you could use them for.  They would be good for friends, children, even pets!  Or how about pictures of your flower garden?  The peekaboo frames make a fun addition.  I stamped a butterfly under one of them, one could be used for hidden journaling and the other for a picture.  Or you could just put a picture under each of them.

Sweet Baby card

So yesterday, I had a baby shower to go to for my cousin.  It has been a long journey on the path towards motherhood for her, so I wanted to be sure my card was extra-special!

Materials: Easy Events and Short and Sweet

Card stock: Pear Pizzazz, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie and Watercolor paper

Ink: Black Stazon, So Saffron, Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango, Lucky Limeade

Accessories: Adorning Accents Embossing Folders, Adorning Accents Edgelits, Labels Framelits, Basic Pearls, Pumpkin Pie grosgrain, Aquapainters, Stampin' Dimensionals

This card actually came together fairly quickly.  I pretty much had a general layout in my head when I sat down and it all worked well together.  Love it when that happens! To create the layer behind the duck, I cut the label framelit that is the same size as the duck layer.  Then I cut it apart diagonally into four pieces and layered them behind the duck.  My favorite part is the row of pearls along the center.

Another fresh vintage card

I am really loving the Sale-a-bration set Fresh Vintage.  If you haven't gotten it yet, you need to get going!  There is only one more month to earn this set for free!

This is one of the cards that we made when I got together with some demonstrator friends at the end of January.  My friend Cheryl brought this one for us to do, and if I remember correctly, she had gotten it as a swap card at the Leadership conference.

Cardstock: Calypso Coral, Pool Party and Whisper White and Everyday Enchantment DSP

Ink: Calypso Coral and Pool Party

Accessories: Square Lattice embossing folder, Decorative Label punch, Scallop Trim Border punch, 1 1/4" circle punch, 1 3/8" circle punch, Pool Party ribbon, Basic rhinestones, Stampin' Dimensionals

This card has a lot of different things going on, but it all compliments each other nicely.  It is definitely not something I would normally have come up with on my own, so thanks, Cheryl, for bringing this one!  It is so happy and it makes me think spring!

Daytime Stamp club

Would you like to join stamp club, but nights don't work very well for you?  Well, I have the solution!  Last month I started a daytime club.  I don't actually have enough people to run it as a formal club with hostess benefits, so I'm running it is a class.  You can either pay a class fee of $10 or place a $15 order, and you will be making the same cards and projects as the night time groups.  

We meet on the the first Tuesday of the month at 1:00pm at my house.  That's next week, and I'd love to have you join us!  If you do plan to attend, please send me a quick email so that I can have materials prepared and ready for you.

I'm hoping by this summer when I restart all my club groups to have enough people in the daytime group to make it an official club!

New Diagonal Scoring Plate

Happy March!

You know what they say...in like a lion, out like a lamb.  Let's hope that our lion turns into a lamb as the month progresses!  LOL!

Anyway, I am excited to share with you that starting today you can order a diagonal plate to use with the Simply Scored tool.  This will allow you to create, of course, diagonal score lines which are the basis for making your own envlopes.  How cool is that?  Here is a video that Stampin' Up! released about this great new tool:
