Hey everyone!

I hope you are enjoying this fine summer day!  The end of the Stampin' Up! fiscal year is June 30, and I am very close to earning the weekend getaway to Hilton Head Island Resort in South Carolina.  It looks like, however, I am going to come up a few hundred dollars short.  Therefore, I have decided to do a Mystery Hostess Event, and YOU get the benefits.  Here's how it will work.  Call or email me with your order by next Wednesday, June 27.  For every $25 you spend (before tax and shipping) your name will go into a drawing for part of the hostess benefits.  If the total of the orders reaches at least $500, here is how I plan to divide the benefits:

TWO people will receive their choice of ANY catalog item at half price (including a Big Shot!)
ONE person will receive $50 in hostess dollars
ONE person will receive $25 in hostess dollars
THREE people will receive $15 in hostess dollars
ONE person will receive $10 in hostess dollars

Even if you don't get selected for a part of the hostess benefits, you still win!  I will give those people your choice of any stamp set from my collection of past hostess and sale-a-bration sets.

Father's Day card

I know Father's Day was last weekend, but I thought I would share the card that I made for my father-in-law.  It is a fairly generic looking card that could be used for multiple occasions:

Materials: Everything Eleanor and Delightful Dozen    

Card stock: Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler, Always Artichoke, and Night of Navy

Ink: Night of Navy classic pad and Versamark pad

Accessories: Big Shot with Apothecary Accents Framelits and Adorning Accents Edgelits, Clear Embossing powder, Paper Piercing Tool and Essentials Paper Piercing pack, Regals brads, Denim ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals

I worked this card up Saturday evening in about ten minutes.  It really just came together very nicely and I was quite pleased with it.  I'm having a lot of fun with the new framelits that just came out.  For this one, I cut the words out with the shape and then I cut two more out of Night of Navy card stock.  Then I overlapped them behind the words to create the layering effect.

The other part of this card I like is the effect of clear embossing on dark card stock.  Every time I do this technique, I always wonder why I don't use it more often!

New Catalog!

Boy, the end of that school year gets me everytime!  I think, hopefully, things can slow down a bit now!

The good news is that our new catalog went live on June 1, and I think it is one of the best yet.  It is just filled with awesome products and the photography is absolutely stunning.  And yet, with all the goodness, it still retains a nice clean layout.  If you would like a catalog, let me know and I'd be happy to get one to you.

I just love the monochromatic look of this card.  It also features one of the brand new in colors.  Midnight Muse is a lovely deep blue and I think you are going to love working with it!
