September Virtual Class

It's time for another virtual class!  I had so much fun with this last month, and I can't wait for you to see what I've got up my sleeve for September.

My virtual classes are a great way for you to get a class experience in the comfort of your own home.  Here's how it works.  You will place an order through my website using the special hostess code R3PC4WCA.  For every $25 you spend, you will get an entry to win the hostess benefits on that month's orders.  Orders must be placed by September 15 to qualify.

By September 20, I will mail a package to you containing materials for three cards and including complete supply lists and instructions.  Everything will be precut, stamped, punched and run through the Big Shot ready for you to assemble.  You will just need to have adhesives on hand, snail, glue dots, dimensionals, etc.  I will also email you the links to private videos showing you how to create the cards.

That's it!  There is no obligation to participate month after month.  You can choose which months you would like to take the class.

End of the month reminders!

Can you even believe that we are at the end of August?  I know I can't!  My kids started school today, and it was rather nice and quiet in my house :)

There are a couple of things I wanted to make sure I reminded you of, and then, if you keep reading, I promise to throw you a sample.

I don't think I've shown you this card yet.  This is a card I made for my sister-in-law last spring right before my nephew was born.  I realize that several of the colors are retired, but it could easily be done in current colors.

It was so pretty in person with that sparkle on the baby feet.  After I stamped the feet, I covered them using the 2-way glue pen and then sprinkled the Dazzling Diamonds glitter on them.  Instant sparkle!

Tis the season....for Christmas cards?

I know, I know..it's still summer.  Believe me, I hear you.  And considering that we had a wetter and cooler summer than average, I really don't want to think about the fact that colder weather is in the not too distant future.

But.  That said, now is really the time to start planning your Christmas cards.  If you get started now, you can avoid the crunch of trying to complete them all the week after Thanksgiving.  Speaking of which...I should probably take my own advice!

Technique Video: Magic Masking Tape

Wow!  Time sure flies.  It's been a bit of a crazy month, and, something had to give.  Unfortunately, that something ended up being blogging.  School starts next week, and I'm hoping that I'll be able to get back on a more regular blogging schedule!

First, an update.  On August 15, Stampin' Up released another set of single stamps.  This time they are all Christmas stamps and they are all fabulous!

The other thing they recently released was another new photopolymer set:

It is called Another Thank You and you get ten images for only $13.95.  I've been playing with these sets a bit more lately, and they are really, really cool!  You definitely need to give them a try.

Now...inspiration on this blog has been sorely lacking of late.  How about video?

This the technique video for the card we did in my July stamp club.  First, here's the card:

It features the Love and Sympathy stamp set and the technique is called Magic Masking Tape.  It is so, so easy but creates a really cool background!

NEW: Attend a Virtual Class!

I am so excited to share with you today something new that I am launching!  I know that there are many of you who would like to take a card class from me, but due to either time or distance, it is just not feasible.

Well...now you can because I will bring the class to you!  And, what's even better, is you have a chance to win free merchandise just for taking the class!

Here's how it will work.  Every month I will send out an email and do a blog post with that month's special hostess code.  You will need to place an order through my website using the hostess code.  For every $25 you spend (before tax and shipping), you will get one entry into the drawing.  You will need to create an online account if you haven't already.  If you have difficulty with that, let me know and I'd be happy to help you.

When you place your order online, your order will ship directly to you immediately. The 2013 Holiday catalog is now LIVE!

I was on vacation last week, but before I left, I had prepared a fabulous blog post to show up on August 1 announcing the Holiday catalog and the new Thinlits card dies.  I'm not sure what happened to it, but I got home and it hadn't posted and I can't find any trace of it.  So....a little late, but here's the beginning of August news :)

First of all...the Holiday catalog is now live!

There are some fabulous products in this catalog including lots of kits that are designed to make your holiday decorating and gift giving even easier!  I know it's still only August, but it is NEVER too early to start planning your Christmas cards.  Just imagine having them all done by the end of September or October.  Wouldn't that make a huge difference in your holiday planning?

While we were at convention, Stampin' Up! revealed several new products.  One of them became available on August 1.

Making flip cards just got a whole lot easier.  I got to see and feel these at convention and they are so cool!  I can't decide which one I should get first...maybe I should just order both!  You can order either or both yourself by going to my website here.  Not only can you make fun interactive cards, but the elements can be used for tons of different things as well.
