November Virtual Class

It's time to launch the Virtual Class for November!  I'm having so much fun with these, and I'd love to have you join in.

Here's how it works.  First you place an order online using the special hostess code.  This month's hostess code is HRY3AQW9.  If you order is at least $25 ore more, you will be entered into a drawing to win the hostess benefits for the month.  Orders are due by November 21st to qualify, but your order will ship to you immediately.

By the November 26th, I will put a package in the mail containing the materials for three cards.  Everything will be pre-stamped and punched.  All you need to do is put the cards together.  I will also send you a complete supply list and directions as well as the links to private videos showing you how to create the cards.

There is no monthly obligation.  You can participate whichever months you choose.

Materials: Special Season

Card stock: Garden Green and Whisper White

Ink: So Saffron, Garden Green and Cherry Cobbler

Accessories:  Big Shot, Oval Framelits, Blender Pen, Stamping sponges, 2-way glue, Dazzling Diamonds glitter

This is a card we did in my Quick and Easy class on Monday night and it was a huge hit!  It was super easy to create, too.  I started by cutting an oval out of a piece of Whisper White card stock using the Oval framelits to create a mask.  I laid this mask on another piece of Whisper White card stock and sponged So Saffron inside.  

When I removed the mask, it left the sponged oval that I was able to stamp the tree on.  The ornaments were colored using a blender pen and the Cherry Cobbler ink.  Finally, it's hard to pick it out of the picture, but I added a little bit of glitter to the ornaments.

Technique Video: Whitewash

I just realized that I never shared the video for my September stamp club technique card.  In September, we learned the whitewash technique.

The card we did features the Tags 4 You stamp set as well as Gently Falling.  Gently Falling is one of the sets that you can get at 25% off through Monday!

First, here's the card:

Materials: Tags 4 You bundle (including Lable Bracket punch), Gently Falling

Cardstock: Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake, Pear Pizzazz and Very Vanilla

Ink: Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, Versamark, and Whisper White ink refill

Accessories: White Embossing powder, Heat Tool, Aquapainter, Pear Pizzazz taffeta ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals

This wasn't a very difficult technique, and everybody really loved it.  Here's the video I created to show you how to do it:

Get Zoo Babies at 25% off!

I thought that today I would share a sample made with one of those sets.  This card features Zoo Babies and was a card I did in my private card classes this summer:

I think that this set is one of the cutest animal sets we've ever had.  This would make a fantastic welcome baby card!  I chose to keep the colors neutral, but you could do it in blues or pinks if you'd prefer.

Let it Sparkle and Shine!

I don't know about you, but I just love Christmas cards that sparkle and shine!  They are just so festive!

That is definitely the case with this card I'm sharing today.  This was a card that we created in my stamp clubs last month and it features the Evergreen stamp set:

Materials: Evergreen and More Merry Messages

Card stock: Whisper White, Midnight Muse and Silver Glimmer Paper

Ink: Midnight Muse and Versamark

Accessories: Big Shot, Oval Framelits, Heat and Stick Powder, Heat Tool, Gold and Silver glitter, Stampin' Dimensionals

Don't you just love the glitter on that tree?  It was super easy, too.  First you stamp the bottom of the tree in Midnight Muse.  Next you stamp the overlay tree using Versamark ink.  

The next step is to pour heat and stick powder over it and shake off the excess. Then, you need to use your heat tool to melt the powder.  Be careful, because it doesn't take as long to melt the heat and stick powder as it does embossing powder and if you go to long, it loses its sticky!

Once you've got your powder all melted, you can then pour the glitter on top and it will stick to it.  The final step is to go back over it with the heat tool to set the glitter.  If you don't, the glitter will end up just brushing off.

Goodie Gear Treat Bag

One of the gifts we received at convention this year was the Real Red Goodie Gear Kit along with the Oh, Goodie! stamp set.  It was the middle of summer, so I put it away for the time being.

After having been so sick last week, I was needing some quick door prizes for my private card classes this week.  I pulled the kit out and decided to make these up for my door prizes.  Oh, my stinkin' cuteness!  I can't believe I waited so long.

These little guys are just adorable and would make fabulous little gifts for co-workers, neighbors, all the other students in your kid's class, you get the drift!  I put five hershey kisses in each bag, but there are all sorts of little things that you could fill them with!
