Now..it's been a little while since I've shared a sample...it's definitely time to correct that!

I saw a sample similiar to this in our Stampin' Success magazine, and I just had to try it myself!

Materials: Geometrical

Card stock: Whisper White

Ink: Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight and Old Olive

Accessories: Big Shot, Hexagon Hive Thinlits, Stampin' Dimensionals

Until I saw this card, it never occurred to me to only use a part of the piece that is created with the Hexagon Hive thinlit.  What a light bulb moment!  The hexagon image fits perfectly through the cut outs from the thinlit, but I was having a hard time lining it up perfectly.  So...I finally just stamped them on another piece of white card stock and cut them super close to the image.  You have to look pretty closely to be able to tell that they weren't stamped directly on the card.

Technique Video: Sunburst

Today, I've got another technique video for you.  This is the technique that we did in my February stamp clubs and it's known as the Starburst technique.

Weekly Deal and a Valentine's Sample

Hey everyone!  I'm sorry I missed posting the weekly deal on Tuesday. I had a really full day and then yesterday I started coming down with that cold. Yuck!  I was feeling a little cheeky that I'd made it this far into the season without catching it.  That'll teach me :)

This is a card I made during one of my stamping sessions with friends and it is just loaded with products from the Celebrations catalog.  It also features the Decorative Dots embossing folder which you can only get for free when you make a $50 purchase.  I actually just added it up, and if you purchase the Perfect Pennants bundle, Ampersand folder and Small heart punch, the total before tax and shipping would come to $55.40...just enough to get the Decorative Dots folder free!  If you need the glimmer paper, that would be an additional $4.95.

I know Valentine's Day is tomorrow, but who needs a holiday to tell somebody how special they are to you??

February Virtual Card Class

Hey everyone!

I just realized that I never did a blog post featuring this month's Virtual Card Class.  Sorry about that! 

This month, I have some bright and cheerful cards that will help you focus on the coming of spring.  I know I need to keep that time in sight!

For my virtual card class, you will need to place an online order of at least $25 by February 21.  It is imperative that you use the special hostess code as that is the only way that I can track the orders.  The code for this month is 9P7MDB3Y.

After the order closes and by the 26th or so, I will mail you a packet with the materials for three cards.  Everything will be pre stamped, punched and ready to assemble.  I will also give you a supply list and step by step instructions along with the links to private videos showing you how to create the cards.  Every also received a free gift from me!

New Personalized Stamps!

Late yesterday, Stampin' Up released a new personalized name stamp.  These stamps are photopolymer and are designed to coordinate with the 1 3/8" circle punch.

You can now order your personalized stamps online.  As you create your stamp, you will see a live image of what it will look like.  These stamps would make perfect gifts! Although the format and fonts are set, they are totally customizable as to what you can have them say.  Create a stamp for thank you cards, baby announcements, teachers, book plates, wedding announcements...the list goes on and on.
