In today's Learn to Stamp video, I show you how I created this swirled circle background:

I first saw this background several months ago, and I thought it was so clever.  It is one of those techniques which looks really complicated, but is actually quite simple.  The hardest part was figuring out which colors I wanted to use for which circles.  My one tip would be to lay out the circles before you begin adhering anything so that you can make sure you've got the positioning correct.

It's #SimpleStamping Friday! Today I have a card for using the adorable Penguin Place set.  This set also comes with a coordinating punch, although I didn't use the punch on this card.  If I had, it wouldn't be a #SimpleStamping card anymore, now would it!

This is a quick and easy Christmas card of which you could easily make multiples.  If you wanted to jazz it up just a bit, you could throw some glitter on the snowflakes or even use the Iridescent Crystal Effects under the hill of snow.

At this time of year, I find that my focus shifts solidly into Christmas designs and I sometimes forget about those beautiful fall sets we have.  When I first saw the Beauty of Friendship set in the annual catalog, I was excited about the possibilities this set presented for fall cards.  Between the colors in the designer series paper and the fall images there are so many options.  For this card, I pulled my colors from the paper to create a tree showing off its leaves in all its fall glory.

Learn to Stamp: Split Negative

Materials:
    Stamps: Nature's Harvest

In today's Learn to Stamp video, I show you how I created this card using the Split Negative technique:

 

 

The Split Negative technique is an old technique that I did many years ago and that I dusted off for this technique. The basic premise is that you stamp a larger image on two pieces of card stock, one light and one dark and then overlay one on the other.  On the lighter card stock, the image is stamped in a darker color and on the darker card stock, the image is stamped in a lighter ink.  The result is an image that is stamped on two opposing pieces of card stock to complete the one image.

#SimpleStamping Friday: Gorgeous Leaves Celebrate Card

Materials:

It's Friday which means it is time for another #SimpleStamping card.  On today's card, I used the Gorgeous Leaves stamp set to create a beautiful fall background.  I then stamped my sentiment directly on to the card using a darker shade of ink.  With beautiful colors and sentiment in a dynamic font, this card may be simple, but it is perfect for any occasion that warrants celebration.

Minute to Make It: Frosted Gingerbread Ornament Card

In today's Minute to Make It video, I show you how I created this card using the Frosted Gingerbread set:

The Frosted Gingerbread set contains three large images, reminiscent of gingerbread cookies.  These ornaments are one of them.  When I was creating this card, I started with colors pulled right from the designer series paper.  I added Bermuda Bay as a third color, and I like the contrast that it provides.  It is slightly untraditional color combination, but it provides a nice change of pace.

One of the more elegant suites in the holiday catalog is the Peaceful Place Suite.  This suite includes the Peaceful Cabin set, Cabin dies, and Peaceful Place Designer Series Paper among other things.  I made this Christmas card with this set, but this set has beautiful imagery that will take you through the entire winter.  For this card, I really wanted to focus on the beautiful designer series paper.  I added some simple trees and my sentiment to finish it off.
