The cards in the June Paper Pumpkin kit were probably some of the easiest to put together yet, but even still, they are so much fun! These cards were designed for you to be able to send some words of encouragement (and who doesn't need encouragement these days!).  The kit also comes with a small canvas tote bag, so alternatively, you could give these cards as a gift to someone.

For today's #SimpleStamping Friday card I decided to take the opportunity to play with the retiring Flowering Flowers stamp set one last time.  I also used some of the Sweet Talk Designer Series Paper which is also retiring.  The Sweet Talk paper is actually a Valentine's paper, but the back sides of most of them have fairly neutral patterns that are useful year round.  Don't rule out a paper just because it is seasonal!

Yesterday was Father's Day, and this is the card I made for my father-in-law.  He is suffering from severe dementia, so I really just wanted a design that pleasing to look at since he will get more out of the aesthetics of the card than what it actually says.  The color inspiration came from one of the designer series papers in the January-June catalog.  Can you spot which one?

It seems that fewer and fewer people are sending cards for birthdays and holidays.  The one style of card that I think is still worth sending in the mail is a thinking of you type card that is meant to just cheer somebody up.  We all have our struggles, but knowing that someone is thinking of us while we are in those struggles can make a world of difference.  This card is fairly simple, although it does have some great texture going on and it is just enough to let someone know that you see them and you care.

#SimpleStamping Friday: Pansy Patch Card

It is easy to get caught up in the all the wonderful new stamp sets when a catalog first comes out, and sometimes I tend to lose track of the great sets that have already been around.  For today's #SimpleStamping Friday card, I reached for the Pansy Patch set.  This set has coordinating dies, but this is a #SimpleStamping card, so it was just the stamps this time.  I did, however, pull out some of the new In Colors.  This was one of the first times that I've really combined the new In Colors with some of our existing colors. This is a simple design that could easily be replicated with other stamp sets and colors.

Happier Than Happy Baby Card

While I the Happier Than Happy set out to make my niece's birthday card, I decided to use it to also make a baby card that I needed.  These little animals are just the sweetest, and with the dies, you have the option to die cut them or just stamp them directly on the card stock.  I used both options on this card to create a little scene for sending happy baby wishes.
