Today's #SimpleStamping Friday card has a little bit of a cheat, but I'm going to say that it still qualifies. Normally, I restrict my #SimpleStamping Friday cards to just stamps, ink and paper (and/or perhaps Blends for coloring). For this card, I used on of my dies from the Scalloped Contours Dies set to create a mask that I then used to create the shape in the middle. You could use any die for this or you could even simply cut the center out of a quarter piece of card stock with your trimmer. I applied the ink using my Blending Brushes, creating a nice background shape on which I then stamped my flowers. It's a simple way to create the look of layers without the bulk. As a matter of fact, this card only uses Basic White card stock. If that isn't #SimpleStamping, I don't know what is!
When you place an order on my website in the month of August using hostess code SYDNAQ7K I will send you my Splendid Thoughts tutorial for free. If your order is over $150, please don't use the hostess code so you can keep the Stampin' Rewards for yourself. I will send you the tutorial automatically.
Happy stamping!
