Minute to Make It: Frosted Gingerbread Ornament Card

Materials:
    Stamps: Frosted Gingerbread
    Ink: Poppy Parade, Old Olive and Bermuda Bay
    Card Stock:

In today's Minute to Make It video, I show you how I created this card using the Frosted Gingerbread set:

The Frosted Gingerbread set contains three large images, reminiscent of gingerbread cookies.  These ornaments are one of them.  When I was creating this card, I started with colors pulled right from the designer series paper.  I added Bermuda Bay as a third color, and I like the contrast that it provides.  It is slightly untraditional color combination, but it provides a nice change of pace.

I am completely in love with today's #SimpleStamping Friday card.  I love it's elegant simplicity.  My favorite part is the Dry Brushed Metallic paper.  This paper is absolutely stunning and I feel like this card really showcases it effectively.  This would be a great card to send someone who just needs a little pick me up. If you wanted, you could add a few rhinestones, but I don't know that it needs it.

Last week, one of my nieces turned thirteen.  We had her family birthday party yesterday, and this was the card I made for her.  I decided to use the Adorable Owls set (which really is adorable!) and it was a huge hit.  These owls are a Saleabration option that can be chosen for free with a $50 purchase.  I stamped him in Memento Black ink and colored him with my Blends markers.  Super easy and super cute!

Today's #SimpleStamping Friday card is truly a simple stamping card.  It uses the new Beautifully Happy set from the January-April catalog.  This is a two step stamping set, so this card was easily created with a few ink pads and some quick stamping.  Certainly, this card, could easily be dressed up a little with a few rhinestones, but the point of this design was to keep it simple, so simple it is.

Christmas cards are fun to create, but it is always fun to make the shift away from red and green into more spring-like colors.  This card features the Framed Florets bundle. I used the frame from the die sets and then stamped and die cut some of the flowers to place around the outside edge.  It was fairly quick to put together and would work well for multiple occasions.

First things first, I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season.  I want to thank you for granting me the grace to take a little time away from the blog.  As it is for everybody, December is a such a busy time of year, and I just needed to let a few things go so that I could focus on some other more important things.  I had a wonderful Christmas and now I'm ready to shift back into a normal routine.

Today's card is a sneak peek from our upcoming January-April catalog which launches on Thursday.  These products mostly all come from the new Country Floral Lane Suite.  This suite enables you to create beautiful Valentine's Day cards but is versatile enough to be useful beyond February 14.  The other new product I want to point out on this card is the label.  It comes from the Something Fancy Dies.  Those dies are part of a bundle with a sentiment set, and they are Ah-mazing. I'm sure you are going to see a lot more of those in the weeks to come!

Generally when I share a #SimpleStamping Friday card, I try really hard to limit myself to just stamps, ink and paper.  My purpose is to show you how much you can do with just those basic supplies.  So, in the strictest sense, today's card isn't a #SimpleStamping card, it comes mighty close.  On this card, I added just a little bit of ribbon around the center which actually acts a the focal point.  With a monochromatic color scheme and only one ink pad, this is still a fairly simple and yet really striking card.

November Paper Pumpkin: From the North Pole Alternates 1

Today's Paper Pumpkin cards were made using the November kit, From the North Pole.  For this batch, I focused on using only the supplies that were included in the kit with only the addition of one sheet of card stock.  These tags are super cute and they work equally well on cards as you can see in that sample.
