March 2023 Paper Pumpkin: Ten Years of Growth

It's been a busy couple of weeks around here, and I'm finally getting a chance to post my March Paper Pumpkin cards.  This kit was called Ten Years of Growth and is a celebration of Paper Pumpkin's tenth anniversary.  The cards are beautiful floral images that would be good for many different occasions from birthdays to thinking of you to sympathy.

A couple of weeks ago, I found myself in need of a baby card for a baby shower the next day.  I admit to feeling lazy and while I was at the store (the one with the big red bullseye) I decided I was just going to buy a card.  I went over the card section and I just couldn't bring myself to spend $6 on a card when I had a whole room of perfectly good card making supplies.  I came home and in less than ten minutes, I had this card put together.  Lesson learned....next time just make the card, lol.

The Retiring Lists Have Been Released

The retiring lists for the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog as well as the January-April catalog have been released.  As I suspected, among other things, we are having another color refresh.  The following eleven colors are retiring:

• Mango Melody
• Bermuda Bay
• Pacific Point
• Rich Razzleberry
• Merry Merlot
• Soft Suede
• Sahara Sand
• Blushing Bride
• So Saffron
• Pear Pizzazz
• Mint Macaron

Taking their place, we will have four brand new colors as well as seven returning favorites, and I can't wait to share these colors with you!  

 

For now, however, I have the retiring lists.  You can view the annual catalog retiring list here and the January-April retiring list here.  While you certainly can place orders for these products now, beginning on April 4, many of these products will be available on sale with discounts of up to 60% off.  That said, products are only available while supplies last and when they are gone, they are gone.  If there is anything you absolutely want, particularly in any of the retiring colors, I would urge you to order sooner rather than later.

Paper Pumpkin February 2023: Sunshine and Smiles Alternates Post 2

Today, I have my final installment in the series of cards I made using the February Paper Pumpkin kit, Sunshine and Smiles.  These cards were made using only the stamps from the kit.  The stamps in this kit are fun and cheerful.  You can tell that I had spring on my mind when I made these cards!  I chose colors that were bright and happy to go along with the images, making this trio of cards something to make anybody smile!

Sweet Citrus Card

Materials:
    Stamps: Sweet Citrus
    Ink: Granny Apple Green and Daffodil Delight
    Card Stock:

After the big snowstorm we had over the weekend, I thought it would be nice to share a card that was bright and cheerful.  This card uses the Sweet Citrus bundle to create a card that will bring sunshine to any recipient.  One of the unique features about this bundle is that you get not only coordinating dies, but an embossing folder as well.  To create this card, I first stamped my citrus pieces (which are one big stamp) on Basic White card stock.  Next, I ran it though the embossing folder, making sure to line up the stamped images with where they would be embossed.  Finally, I die cut the images so that they could be placed on the card.

Today's #SimpleStamping Friday is a really great design that would be super easy to copy and change up just by changing out the elements in the rectangles.  I chose to use designer series paper in three of mine with a sentiment on the fourth, but you could stamp all three or do a combination.  And, just by changing the papers, you can completely change the feeling of the card.  I love when a design is nice and versatile!

February 2023 Paper Pumpkin: Sunshine and Smiles Alternates Post 1

The February Paper Pumpkin, Sunshine and Smiles, came with some lovely preprinted cards that were a lot of fun to cut apart and use in different with ways.  For these cards, I used the supplies in the kit with only the addition of a few sheets of card stock.  The bright colors and fun images brought a smile to my face, and I can only imagine how they would brighten the day for somebody who receives one when they least expect it!

The March kit is all about celebrating Paper Pumpkin's tenth anniversary and will contain a bonus free stamp set.  Make sure you subscribe by March 10 so that you can receive it.
